Big Sad 1900, a musician from West LA’s La Cienega Heights has reportedly passed away. In a West Adams neighborhood on Tuesday, a Maserati driver and police officers engaged in gunfire following a pursuit in southern Los Angeles County. Following a complaint of a suspect wanted for domestic abuse and assault with a lethal weapon, the pursuit started in the Long Beach-San Pedro neighborhood.
At least four drivers swerved to avoid the Maserati as it drove on the wrong side of the road as the pursuit continued into Inglewood and View Park. When the motorist pulled over in the parking lot of a West Adams apartment building, the pursuit came to an end. Shots seemed to be fired as the motorist made his way down the driveway toward the front of the two-story building, where officers were brandishing their firearms, and the driver collapsed to the ground.
Whether the driver was armed or if anyone was hit by gunshots was not immediately apparent. The driver was being treated at the scene by firefighters and paramedics. Near where the driver fell, there was what looked like a rifle on the ground. The individual has family in the region, according to neighbors who spoke to NBCLA. There were no reports of cops being hurt.
